DANI SHOTWELL
Dani Shotwell

The process of taking photographs or going out and shooting is one of the most fulfilling things I can do. While I love the process that takes place in the darkroom or on the computer, I get the most satisfaction with the camera in my hands The communication of the object or person with the photographer is a very important aspect to me when I am shooting. I believe that what draws me to take a photograph of a particular subject is the energy it gives off. Whether it be a good or bad energy, it draws my attention and guides my eye and the lens of the camera to the right composition.

Currently my interest of subject matter has been with the human body and the beauty and power it has to create emotion and sensuality. The power of different postures as well as the power of facial expression is of particular interest to me, specifically when the subject is unaware of the camera.
