DANIEL J. KING
Daniel J. King

From my experiences I’ve assimulated layers of understanding the human condition, what it means to be alive in the mediated 21st century. My work ranges from straight forward photographic representation to process-driven explorations into medium and communication.

I’m interested in how we understand ourselves as individuals and cultures through the representation of our surroundings. These images come in many forms, through television, cinema, advertising, fashion, corporate news media, and most recently the internet and emerging handheld technologies.

While these seemingly disparate list of image-sources merge, through conflicting and cooperative relationships, they make up our “public” and personal understanding of who we are as a country, a culture, and a community.
