JENNIFER J. KEARNEY
Jennifer J. Kearney

The power and mystery nature has to show is endless, and it is a continual source of inspiration for me. Nature is said to be the best teacher, and there is much to be learned.
From as early as I can remember, I have had a fascination with the world around me. I have found that when you learn from nature, you can’t go wrong. My love for the natural world is coupled with my love for art. This combination has been of great significance in my life and work. I seek to express in my art the individual qualities and emotions I feel from the world around me. Rather than documenting a specific time or place, I prefer to capture its essence.
I have a deep appreciation of not only the expressive side of art, but of the technical as well. Basic skills, to me, are a necessity, because without a thorough grasp of materials and methods, there isn’t much freedom in expressing your ideas. I enjoy learning about and working with many styles and forms of art, and I especially love fantasy and mythical art.
