Gina Cestaro, from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, received her BFA from Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, in 1998, and her MFA from the University of Arizona, Tucson, in 2006. Her conceptually based work is expressed primarily through video, performance and mixed-media sculpture. Cestaro’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally including Mobius Gallery, Boston, USA, Varna City Art Museum, Bulgaria, and Mangere Community Outreach Gallery, New Zealand. She is a founding member of Plugged Art Collective and co-director/organizer of two annual art festivals: her shorts: Intl. Women’s Video Festival and PerformIT: Live Experimental Art Festival.
