My paintings are visual records of what I see in nature and the world around me. I want to capture a moment in time or a feeling that I get when I see something that intrigues me. Often what I paint is not something that is necessarily beautiful but simply interesting. My favorite medium is watercolor because you can get a light, translucent effect yet if needed you can apply a bold application of saturated color.

Recently I have been painting more with acrylics on larger canvases. At first using a large canvas was a bit intimidating but now I really enjoy working on them.
