How do you define self? I find self expression hidden in the small things: a name, a symbol, a brush stroke or a texture.

As a painter I utilize color, composition, line, abstraction, figure or whatever else it takes to externalize my internal self. I explore the feminine, the organic, the naturalistic to explore my female nature. I utilize bold contrast, deep symbolism and an ever changing palette in my art to exude a sense of what it is to investigate every dark nook and cranny of self.

As a teacher it can be simply said that I am trying to find an artist’s perspective in each one of my students. They all have the potential to change the art world.
