Artistic growth is an ongoing process throughout an artistÌs life. It is pushed along by experimentation and self-exploration. An artist must learn to see the world not only for what it is, but also what it can be made to be. An artist is not only someone who has creative, artistic skill, but he/she is someone who is always asking themselves questions and is always looking for new and different ways to answer them. Each time a question has been answered, a new one takes its place; leading to a new direction, depth or layer. I feel that I find myself often ending a project, only to find that I am lead, head on, into a new and exploratory one.
