Why do I create art?
I create art to explore, to understand, to cope, to solve, and to vocalize.
What drives me?
A constant desire, a thirst for knowledge.
What takes me further?
It is a desire to – as Kant said – look further, on past the surface. For me, it is a surface of assumed reality, of feigned understanding, of unquestioned hierarchies. My desire, therefore, is to reveal them, to destroy them, to change them.
It is a most fundamentally human desire to question and dissect and, in doing so, come to a new and heightened realization of ourselves and our purpose.
I create both as an extension of that purpose, but also in a constant effort to find it.
