Artist’s Statement:
Light is the essence of the photographic image. Understanding and capturing that light holds the power to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary, and let’s you experience everyday object in a whole new way. My work as an artist seeks to capture that light and the moods and feelings it exudes.
My pieces are usually filled with interesting juxtapositions between the subject and it’s surroundings, creating images that make you feel unease by taking an object out of what you would consider to be it’s natural element.
My current work is based on three major areas: The loss of identity, Shame and Vacancy. These images address core human emotions and how we as a people process them, control them and overcome them. They challenge the viewer to take a deeper look into their own life and examine their personal emotional state.
I create these images through both digital and traditional black and white photographic processes, each adding it’s own unique flavor to the project.
Thank you for your interest, and please feel free to take a look at some of my work in the gallery section of this portfolio.
God Bless.
Sincerely,
