On Saturday, January 21, I did my first remote location, the Jackson-Hewitt grand opening. My job for the day was to help set up the Hot 98.3 tent and hang banners along the roadside as well as promoting the radio station by prize giveaways. After the banners, inflateable, and tent were set up, I stood behind the merchandise table and promoted both the radio station and Jackson-Hewitt by playing games with people and giving out prizes to winners. I met CK from the Bad Boy Broadcast radio show on Hot 98.3. All and all, it was a fun day. I was able to interact with people, learning more about marketing and promotions through direct experience.
