MICHELLE NAOMI RILEY
Michelle Naomi Riley

My work explores the interconnectedness of all life forms and how the human body either mimics or represents these connections. I use the body as the means to represent living physical and mental advancement, the showcase for these connective attributes. I try not only to explore universal organismal traits apparent in all life forms, but also the cause and effect of the often tumultuous relationships between all living things. I am interested in how these cause and effect ratios alter the perceived and inversely, the conceived, “self” within an individual mind, and in turn, where the line is drawn between these two states of recognition.
