WELCOME to my eportfolio

At this point, I think I am suppose to give a grandious statement about myself...if you knew me you would laugh as you would know that is not ‘my thing’.

I am an aspiring artist, potter, parent, friend, child, teacher, Christian...basically an aspiring human being. My belief is that all we do down here is practice. Practice following His rules and making the right decisions based on the Word...sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t. Hmmm...ok, more than sometimes I don’t!

I have artists in my family but sadly, I do not possess any of their talents. I cannot draw or paint like my aunt; I cannot sing like my mom; I cannot write music and intuitively understand computers like my brother; and I definately cannot cook like my grandmother....sigh....

I graduated from Pima with an Associates in Digital Arts in the spring 2007. I began at the U fall 2007 and am debating between Art History and Art Education. Either way, my minor is ceramics. I would love to teach middle or high school ceramics while I am getting my masters and then I would love to teach college art history and/or ceramics. I have a lot of dreams and aspiratons, its just getting them done that is challenging.

I am also the proud momma of 2 wonderful children. My daughter, who is the best teenager I have ever known, and my son who you see in his grami’s lap in the picture. Both are my strength and my motivation. All I do is for their benefit and betterment. I am optimistic that my backwards approach to getting an education will open their eyes when the time comes...education first!!
