SHELBY MORWAY
Shelby Morway

I believe that art is a means of self-expression by exploring ones’ imagination. It encourages the discovery of the world through the eyes of an artist. Art, the process and creative outcome, and art education is important to me and reflects in my individual art as well as my everyday life. Ones’ art should relate to their everyday life, integrating it with heritage, career education, world history, and cultures. Anything that is relevant and important to the individual. Art is not only universal, but also very personal, therefore allowing the uniqueness of an individual to be expressed.
My art consists of drawings, paintings, photography, fibers, collage, 3D objects, dance, and choreography. My art relates to experiences from my life, whether they are dealing with the body, gender, education, religion, family, and history.
