To whom it may concern,
As a Media Arts major in the BFA program at the University of Arizona, I was very excited at finding an internship opportunity currently available in your company. I expect to graduate in 2011 so I feel this would be the perfect time for me to gain real work experience in the field I plan on spending the rest of my career in. I am very passionate about filmmaking and feel there is so much to be learned by hands-on experience like the kind your are offering.
I hold Rotary in the highest esteem for it was through their youth exchange program that I was able to live in Yokkaichi, Japan for a year with six different host families. I was a senior attending an all-girls Japanese Catholic Mission school where I was able to make countless memories and friends. I certainly found myself in Japan and am confident in my fluency in the language for I’ve been taking courses here at the University to fulfill a minor requirement.
In addition to my Japanese and Spanish conversational level proficiencies, I can also bring several other qualities to your company such as my diligence, hard-work ethics, outgoing personality, and my respect for professionalism. I will take the work you give me seriously while adhering to the time schedules you provide.
I have worked with Final Cut Pro on various occasions, and through courses at the University have learned various lighting, audio capturing, film production and screenplay writing skills. Working on several BFA film projects has helped me get the feel of working on set, an environment I sincerely love.
My attached resume provides further details of my Media work experience and screenings; creating film is my life and I love to delve into all the facets of the field. Please feel free to contact me by phone or at cantu@email.arizona.edu. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Mischa Cantu
