The University of Arizona College of Fine Arts ePortfolio System is a digital archive and online showcase of works created by College of Fine Arts faculty, students and staff. The ePortfolio system will display participating artists' works, in thumbnail and full format, along with the artist's resume and personal statement (if desired), for viewing by third parties over the Internet. The System's content also will be used to promote the diversity and quality of creative work produced in the UA College of Fine Arts.
Through the ePortfolio System's records, the University will maintain ongoing contact with participating artists. For example, the University (including the Office of Continuing Education and Academic Outreach), the University of Arizona Foundation, The University of Arizona Alumni Association, or similar organizations, may send targeted messages in the future to participating artists through the "Message Center" on the main Control Panel page of the ePortfolio. The artist may discontinue this service by clicking the "Off" button in the Message Center, when the above-mentioned functionality is implemented.
By my acceptance below, I agree to the terms and conditions of this Artist Participation Agreement, and that it automatically will apply with respect to all materials and tinformation that I submit to the ePortfolio System. After completion of this process, and the University's notification of my acceptance of the Participation Agreement, I will be assigned a University-issued password for my use in submitting my materials. I represent and warrant that all works that I submit will be my own, original creations; and that I own or control all rights necessary to permit the use of my materials and information as contemplated by this Participation Agreement. This license includes the rights to copy, archive, display, perform and distribute my works, resume and personal statement via the Internet and other forms of digital electronic media now or hereafter devised, and for promotional use as contemplated herein, in any media. If any third party asserts any claim contesting the University's exercise of rights licensed by me herein, I agree to be personally liable, and to defend and hold harmless the University against such claims.
I authorize the University to use my name, likeness and personal information, including my resumé, artist's statement and other personal information submitted by me, in connection with the rights licensed under this Participation Agreement. To the extent that such information may constitute personal records protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, I hereby waive all provisions of law and privilege relating to such records. I certify that my consent has been given freely and voluntarily. I may revoke this consent at any time by providing written notice to the University, in care of: Treistman Center for New Media, P.O. I acknowledge that the University has the sole discretion to accept or reject materials submitted by me, and the University is entitled to remove my materials and information at any time.
